Fall in the Poconos

In October of 2004, I took a ride out to eastern Pennsylvania to chase the elusive fall foliage scenery with a couple of friends from that neck of the woods. It was a memorable trip with plenty of interesting sights.

A nice little pond tucked away in the woods.

A waterfall, which seemed to be partly artificial. The water is pouring over a large flat concrete slab. I couldn't figure out why this might have been done.

Rural driveway with fall colors.

At last, some good color contrast!

Another interesting lake scene.

A strange bit of roadside sculpture.

A closer look at the "creature" on top of the pole.
