Finish writing at least one story, and submit it for publication.

Of all the goals I set for myself, this was the one I felt likely to procrastinate and wimp out on. I've always found it easy to start writing fiction, but hard to finish. Regrettably, this turned out to be somewhat of a self-fulfilling prophecy, and I gave low priority to fiction writing in '96.

The most likely story of mine to see the light of day would be "Citizen's Dream". I've already finished a first draft of the story, but it needs a lot of work.

If I'm feeling really ambitious, I might do some serious work on my novel, Blood and Gold . But don't hold your breath. I've only had the idea in my head for about the past fifteen years, and a solid outline of plot and characters for four. It's a slow mover, but dammit, I want to get it done.

Actually, the most important part of this is to get something published before Zed does.
