Try at least one new beer per month.

With all of the "serious" goals on here, I thought I should include at least one "fun" one. I've always been a connoiseur of beer, and variety is, after all, the spice of life.

I started to keep a list of the beers I'd tried in '96, but by the very nature of the exercise, such an ambition can often prove to be self-defeating, especially if one finds a particularly good bar with many worthwhile beers. Suffice it to say that this goal was met with pleasure.
