It was so much easier than the last one. Except for the last two lines.I had some unexpected days off work, so I could finish these. But I have a Japanese test coming up on 12/2 that I have to study for. I don't know when I will be able to work on some other songs, but we'll see. -Sharnice N. Floyd Eaton sun-kissed... Sitting on Merry watching the sea An island? Looks like a whale's back Don't need anything like a stupid old alarm clock Things depend on your friends. Depend on your mood! A really humongous dream means come on from anywhere to me! Repeat * and ** _______________________________________________________ Notes v.2- "Dare ga ittan da yo!" This is literally "Who said that?!" But I guess here you could also translate it as "Nobody said that!" v.8- MERRY I just have the lyrics sheet. I just have the karaoke version of the songs, so I am just going by the lyrics. It looks like Luffy sings "Merry," but in the lyrics this the Chinese characters for "miyoshi or "senshu" (prow) are also printed next to it. Maybe he is saying "Miyoshi" or "senshu," but I think he is saying "Merry." Anyways, you know what he means, right? v.11 "Jibun, shidai. Kibun shidai!" v.24 "nakama, shidai. Kibun shidai!" I translated the first as Things depend on yourself. Depend on your mood!" and the second as "Things depend on your friends. Depend on your mood!" However, from the original Luffy just sings "depends on your yourself, depends on your mood," etc. so it isn't clear what he means here. This is normal for Japanese. Still, if I just leave the English like that it sounds a little strange so I changed it a little. v.15 "Holy Holyday" "Holy Holyday" is not a typo. That's the way they wrote it down in the lyrics so I just copied it down like that. v.25" Suge dekkai yume wa dokkara demo v.26 "Kakatte koi tte imi datten da!" I translated this as "A really humongous dream means come on from anywhere to me!" Well that is pretty hard to understand, huh? I'm sorry but that is not my fault. When I asked Mr. Higashi to help me translate the last part he wasn't quite sure what it meant in Japanese. It is difficult to understand in the original Japanese, so I just sort of translated it literally.
